Thanks to you, we've kept dementia research going.

But now we need your help more than ever.

Just as we have faced our own challenges throughout the coronavirus pandemic, dementia research faces enormous challenges of its own.

At Alzheimer’s Research UK, we remain dedicated to our mission to bring about the first life-changing dementia treatment that we all want to see.

The lockdown measures have been so important in keeping us safe, and our scientists have been working remotely to continue their research the best they can. But the restrictions faced mean we have had to cancel most of our fundraising events for 2020, and other ways incredible people like you raise and donate money have also been affected. This money funds the next steps for our vital research and its loss puts critical progress at stake.

We are predicting a 45 percent fall in our charitable income for 2020. Without a way to replace this lost funding, we will not be able to fund the high quality research needed. Research is the only way to make breakthroughs possible and each day lost will set us back in our mission. We need to do whatever we can to prevent this.

Every three minutes someone in the UK will develop dementia. There is no starker reminder that new treatments must be found.

This is why I am asking for your help. With your support, our research will find a way to change the lives of everyone affected by dementia.

So please, donate today if you can.
